Five questions that separate a specification from a pitch

Five questions that separate a specification from a pitch
Editorial illustration or published article image

1. What is the bio-based content as a percentage by weight, for the grade I am buying?

2. Is the recycled content post-consumer or post-industrial, and what is the split?

3. What does this certificate not cover?

4. What is the batch-to-batch variance on the property my product depends on, and will you provide a per-lot test report?

5. What has changed since the sample I approved?

A supplier who answers all five is a supplier you can build a substantiation file around. A supplier who answers none is selling you a story you will have to defend yourself.
