Source status: Reachable

Suitable For

Bag bodies, accessories and footwear linings. Good surface consistency and a well-established colour range compared with most other plant-input sheets.

Mandatory Limitation

Not Suitable For

Not for products marketed on a majority-plant claim unless the supplier will state the percentage by weight in writing. Not for sustained wet abrasion.

Known Limits & Failure Modes

Nopal cactus is the differentiating input, not the whole composition. The remainder is a polyurethane or bio-polyurethane system on a textile backing. This category sits at an early commercial stage and definitions across suppliers are not yet consistent, so compare specification sheets rather than marketing language — two sheets both described as cactus leather can differ substantially in plant content.
